Heckler and Koch call the fifth generation of its successful HK416 series "the next step in the evolution of assault rifles."
The HK416 A5, this 6 mm caliber version with <1J power, promises to be equally successful among airsoft enthusiasts.
Proof of this is provided by its mechanical capabilities with MOSFETs, adjustable hop-up and precision barrel. The latter has a diameter of only 6.03 mm and, in combination with the adjustable hop-up, guides the 6 mm BB in an enormously controlled way up to the muzzle with M14x1 thread for tracer units and silencers.
Visually, the magazine stands out due to its current generation 3 design. It holds 120 rounds, but can also be optionally switched to 30.
Typical of the A5 version of the HK416, operation is fully ambidextrous. The fire selector, bolt catch and magazine release can be operated from either side, and a flip-down front sight is mounted on the top rail of the picatinny quad-rail.
