For the cutting action of modern hunting tips there is nothing that works better than variable density butts. This butt is also produced with this principle, which has the highest density layers in the center so that it can be used on both sides.
Both fixed and snap blades can be pulled out easily.
The butt is designed for use with darts up to 300 fps with hunting tips.
Field points are not recommended on this butt as they are difficult to extract.
