The Vulpis is dressed in brass for a more vintage and particular character.
For over four decades, Fox Knives® has been interacting with a dynamic and competitive market and has chosen to follow the path of research and development with a bold and personality-rich approach: a constantly evolving design.
The VULPIS series was born from the need to create a compact, versatile multipurpose knife with a modern style that creates a perfect combination with historic products. The inspiration for the creation of this line comes from the DUCA, the name of the multipurpose knife for the people of Maniago, a knife created in the second half of the 19th century in Maniago when hunting penknives were produced with blades of different sizes, ivory toothpicks and tweezers to remove thorns. These knives were presented at the National Exhibition of Turin in 1888 by the Bet Giovanni company that won the gold medal for the quality of its products and it was thus that, most likely, Luigi Amedeo di Savoia, Duca degli Abruzzi, wanted to go to one of the company's two stores in Turin where he saw and ordered the four-blade multipurpose knife that he chose as an integral part of the equipment for the expedition to the North Pole that he led in 1899.
