Strong winds are common on the plains of New Mexico, where state designer Richard Rogers lives. But those winds often leave behind a beautiful sight: fields of grass bent into beautiful flowing patterns as far as the eye can see. The Viento is named after the Spanish word for wind, a name inspired by the motion of the D2 steel sheepsfoot blade, which flows elegantly with the curved G10 handle. The blade can be deployed with the thin flipper tang or a full-length fuller, while the IKBS ball bearing pivot ensures the blade opens smoothly. Open or closed, the Viento has a captivating sense of motion that is as beautiful as it is beautiful. And with a two-position rear spreader that flips to reveal an optional lanyard hole, this EDC workhorse is as elegant as it is tough.
