The design of this military knife, sponsored by COFS (Commando Operativo Forze Speciali) in the person of General Bertolini, had already been suggested by some collectors of vintage sidearms. The restyling of the famous “attacking paratrooper's dagger mod. 1939 ”, constitutes an important piece of Italian military history. The knife, while borrowing the line, structure and proportions from the original, has been strengthened, enriched with functional changes and made with materials with modern military specifications. The result of these few modifications is an extremely functional and effective dagger. The scabbard is from ankle to be worn as usually the Italian paratroopers carry the bayonet. The 39-09 SPECIAL EDITION version, numbered but not limited edition, is the satin version with wooden handle, COFS logo and motto, parade sheath, black lacquered wooden display box.
