Codice 0128/BLK
MK2.1 is the reinterpretation of a classic, the tribute to a veteran, the restyling of one of the most widely distributed war daggers used in the Second World War: the Mark 2. Extrema Ratio engages in this ambitious project with the aim to maintain the peculiar characteristics of the original to make only functional changes aimed at increasing performance.
Cobalt stainless steel for the blade, AISI 303 and AISI 304 for the other components; in the handle the nylon loaded with glass fiber has taken the place of the leather with washers. The ergonomics of the original have been maintained but all the structural parts have been oversized to make it a massive and performing multirole knife.
Conceptually, the most significant changes are aimed at solving the "weaknesses" of the original model: the possibility of field disassembly without tools, the tip with straight modified Bowie profile (easier to re-sharpen) and the grooves on the "barrel" handle, which help to perceive the direction of the blade even in the dark and geometrically increase the grip in the twisting movements (screwdriver effect).
Other minor changes are the holes for the safety lanyard and the holes on the guard. The traditional blood-drain has been replaced with the typical “side groove” Extrema Ratio for aesthetic and lightening reasons.
