Codice 0166/SAT/BLK
The Black Caiman is a tactical knife that Extrema Ratio, official supplier of Comsubin, developed and delivered to the GOI (Incursori Operational Group) of the Italian Navy.
Its name recalls and pays homage to the heroic Black Caimani del Piave, the Arditi department of the Royal Navy and other members on a voluntary basis, who during the First World War swam across the Piave to carry out incursions into enemy territory.
It is a folding knife with a 4 mm "Spear Point" blade with asymmetric grinding and partial sharpening of the false edge to increase the penetration coefficient. The toothing on the blade allows you to cut cables and highly resistant fabrics while maintaining sharpness. It is a medium folder with a sturdy structure. The very thick aluminum grips, thanks to the numerous removal processes, make the knife light and balanced. The terminal part of the handle, which recalls the shape of the Propeller/Rudder group of the slow-stroke torpedo (SLC), serves to improve the grip for quickly extracting the knife from the pocket. The DLC-coated titanium clip can be positioned in three different inclinations on both sides, to allow maximum customization of the port.
Its shape is designed to minimize the size of the handle outside the pocket. Among its features, in addition to the hard metal glass breaker, there is also a safety device, which, when inserted, protects against a dangerous accidental closure of the blade.
