FULCRUM is a milestone among multi-role knives. Used on a large scale in Afghanistan as standard equipment by the members of the Italian mission "Nibbio", it is part of an experimental project to renew individual equipment undertaken by the Alpine Troops Command.
During the preparation of this important mission, the Alpine Troops Command coordinated a team of companies in the creation of a complete and renewed individual experimental equipment.
Extrema Ratio is the company that the Alpine Troops Command has selected and contacted for the development of a multirole suitable for line infantry, a knife that could be used at all latitudes and that successfully solved any type of problem that the equipment more specialized could not solve. The success was such that that multirole gave way to the development of the Fulcrum Bayonet, of the same characteristics but pluggable on the order rifle.
FULCRUM is an extremely robust and versatile knife. The blade withstands breaking loads in excess of 150 kg, the tip is extremely robust and the profile allows for long work with the knife without affecting the sharpening of the last section. The advanced center of gravity and the weight of the blade make it suitable for heavy field work.
The NFG Desert model is the lightened version of the classic Fulcrum Bayonet, with wire cutter, stone washed blade, desert handle and desert nylon sheath.
