Extrema Ratio has developed the first born of a new line. The CONTACT.
It has a blade with a spearhead profile, flat edge winding and a diamond shape. It has a lower guard branch to protect the hand from accidental cuts, upper jumping to improve the grip, lightening "concave" fuller "along the entire length of the blade and a generous thickness of the same (in the classic 6.30 mm).

All these features give the Contact model the title of big brother of the now famous Requiem, revisited in the proportions and in some technical devices. The first of a new line of multi-role knives. The blade is made of Böhler N690 steel with a hardness of 58 HRC and chemical browning coating for the Black version. All other colors in the line have a Stone Washed blade. The handle is always in forprene but the assembly is no longer carried out by means of the lateral screws but through the truncated cone-shaped stainless steel shank which is screwed to the bottom and is inserted inside a special seat, which makes it solid and well balanced knife.

The sheath is minimalist, it strips itself of most of the fabric by adopting a 2nd level retention system, recalling the style of the model it is inspired by. The main shell is made of shockproof nylon injection. The secondary retention system is reversible for the ambidextrous portability of the knife.

The blade is guided in the insertion of the sheath thanks to a cone shape that lends itself well to the rapid insertion and extraction of the knife. To extract the blade, a pressure on the trigger will be sufficient, thus disengaging the safety that holds it safely in the sheath. In the horizontal slots of the rigid shell there is a system that softens the blade to avoid shaking noises when it is stored inside. The rear part of the nylon sheath has been designed to interface with the MOLLE system. The textile part is reduced to a minimum and has the classic two-button safety strap with a belt loop and a thigh band with rubber reinforcement for the anti rotation. Extrema Ratio aims at this new line, minimizing the thickness and dimensions of the knife to the minimum, but not saving on structural resistance and safety accessories.
