The Meerkat is a tiny but extremely capable folding knife with one secret: its unusual Phantom Lock mechanism. Completely hidden inside the handle, this mechanism locks the blade securely when in use. To close the blade, simply rotate the cheeks in opposite directions.

This Meerkat Sprint Run limited edition features a three-layer blade with a V-Toku2 tool steel core flanked by external SUS410 stainless steel layers. A Japanese steel made with Swedish iron ore, the advanced alloy composition of V-Toku2 is enriched with tungsten, vanadium and chromium and is renowned for its extreme hardness with high hardness. Like all Spyderco Sprint Run models featuring this elite blade material, this knife features injection-molded glass fiber reinforced nylon (FRN) grips in the characteristic blue-gray color.
