One of the most renowned academic shooting air guns that the Italian industry has ever put on the market was born in the 70s from a dream: to be precise, that of Massimo Mencarelli, who in Milan founded his award-winning FAS - Fabbrica Armi Sportive, a state-of-the-art artisan competition workshop that has produced the tools with which international and Olympic shooters have accumulated medals and set records that for the most part remain undefeated.

In accordance with a more modern vision of the international market, Raffaele Mencarelli has decided to make the legendary compressed air shooting pistol that made the fortune of the FAS - the AP 604 model - an authentic generational leap, which must forcibly pass from the disposal of semi-artisanal or entirely artisanal production techniques in favor of large-scale industrial production, which while maintaining the quality and high-quality characteristics that have made it famous intact, allow this fantastic shooting machine to turn to a user base wider.
Raffaele Mencarelli therefore had to choose an industrial partner that met these requirements, and it is not really a surprise that his choice finally fell on the Armi Chiappa of Azzano Mella (BS), a company that more than many others in the panorama of the Italian weapons sector has demonstrated in recent years to be able to innovate the technologies available to it and modernize its production line while remaining anchored to the values of what is still a family-run production reality. Chiappa will therefore produce the FAS-6004 pistol for international markets, as previously announced in the past months, also dealing with distribution abroad - while in Italy the weapon will still be distributed by DOMINO Srl
The FAS-6004 is made largely of carbon steel: the stem, the upper castle and the 19 cm tilting barrel with " Match Choked " profile with 12 grooves, as well as the pneumatic piston that is loaded when the castle is top is opened for the insertion into the chamber of a single cal.4.5mm pellet at a time. Fully protected by an anti-reflective black finish, the FAS-6004 pistol is also equipped with a fixed front sight and a micrometric type rear sight, adjustable for elevation and drift.
The propulsion system features an air release valve positioned directly under the barrel, and this is one of the main features that make the FAS-6004 unique: the " Barrel Time ", or the time that passes before the shot is expelled from the barrel, it is drastically reduced compared to all the other weapons in its category, and virtually zero.
Available with ambidextrous handle made of finished walnut. 30 centimeters long for a total empty weight of about 900 grams .
The single-action trigger, also equipped with a manual safety, is the same as the classic Design of the most famous Italian Training pistol ever, and as such has four adjustment screws that allow the shooter to set each characteristic - weight, stroke, collapse behind the scenes - depending on your needs and requirements.
The FAS-6004 is designed for use at the shooting range in more or less all roles, from informal shooting to the more rigid Training for P10 and Standard Pistol specialties.
