Single shot pistol, operating through the classic spring / piston system. The spring is put in traction by the compass opening of the whole barrel / bolt assembly, hinged near the muzzle, instead of using a more canonical swinging barrel system. In this way, Weihrauch was able to create a model with a relatively long barrel and piston, while limiting the final dimensions of the weapon. The result is very similar to a common semi-automatic pistol. The spring / piston operating system is much more suitable for a rifle than for a pistol, as the typical firing reactions make the short weapon not very governable. To partially overcome this problem, Weihrauch has devised a system that allows you to shoot even with a partial charge of the spring. By loading the weapon until reaching the first position, we will obtain a shot limited to 120 m / s, but much softer and easier to manage, while reaching the second position we will obtain maximum power, able to push the ball up to 170 m / s. The pistol recalls the Colt 1991 in the shapes and dimensions of the stem and handle, of which it would like to be a preparatory version. The bolt carriage, which in this case hides the barrel, spring, cylinder and piston assembly, is instead much more bulky than that of a 1991 Colt. The weight is however similar to that of the firearm from which it draws inspiration . The completely steel construction, and the perfectly finished and shaped wooden grips like those of the Colt Government, make this gun a valuable object, able to satisfy the enthusiast also from the aesthetic point of view, and not only from the ballistic one. Its use is intended for plinking and targeted precision shooting, as the pistol is as powerful as a free sale rifle, with energy at the limit of the legal threshold.
